AYINGER & PINKUS: NEW CLOTHES FOR WORLD-CLASS BEERS Seattle, August 1, 2012: Over the course of the next few months both our German breweries, Ayinger and Pinkus, will be rolling out beautiful new packaging. The new look will maintain the classic and traditional look that these breweries are famous for, but will stand out better on shelves and really attract attention. Please note: the seasonal Ayinger Oktober Fest-Märzen label remains unchanged. Pinkus Brewery, in Münster, Germany, was established in 1816 and is still owned and operated by the same family. They became the world’s first organic brewery in 1980. Ayinger Brewery, established in 1878 in the Bavarian village of Aying, is one of the world’s most highly-awarded breweries and is still owned by the founding family. Merchant du Vin imports Samuel Smith (England); Traquair House (Scotland); Ayinger & the organic beers of Pinkus (Germany); and Zatec (Czech Republic). Our beers from Belgium include Lindemans lambics and Green's gluten-free ales, as well as the Trappist breweries of Orval, Westmalle, & Rochefort.
